On November 16, 2019, the Maywood Police Department arrested Shavar Ingram, 33, of Lodi and Michael Jensen, 29, of Secaucus for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

 

At 2339 hours, Officers Ben Singer and Brian Rubio conducted a motor vehicle stop on a rental 2018 Nissan Altima for Failure to Maintain a Lane and Careless Driving on Route 17 South. A probable cause search of the vehicle driven by Shavar Ingram yielded distribution amounts of methamphetamine as well as marijuana and hypodermic syringes. The passenger, Michael Jensen, also had an active no bail warrant from Newark Municipal Court.

 

Subsequent investigation by members of the Detective Bureau and K9 Ryker led to a search of a hotel room in Edgewater, NJ. Seized from the hotel room were additional distribution amounts of methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana. Members of the Maywood Police Department also conducted a search of a storage unit in Lodi, NJ belonging to Ingram which yielded distribution amounts of GHB.

 

Ingram and Jensen were both lodged in the Bergen County Jail pending their appearances at Central Judicial Processing Court.

 

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
