1/4/23 – P.O. Luna conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested Christopher Rodriguez, 28 of Garfield, who was wanted out of Lodi on a traffic warrant. Rodriguez was transported to Headquarters where he posted bail and was released.

 

1/5/23 – Det. Patton charged Chibundu Dunga, 20 of Irvington, with Simple Assault following an investigation into an assault that occurred in the parking lot of the Maywood Pool in April 2022.

 

1/20/23 – Sgt. Donatello conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested a 19-year-old Maywood resident for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs.

 

1/21/23 – P.O. Della Bella conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested Miguel Del-Rosario-Ortiz, 37 of Bergenfield, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs.

 

1/23/23 – Sgt. Donatello conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested a 29-year-old Maywood resident for an active warrant out of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office.

 

1/27/23 – Det. Patton charged Rahshan Paige, 43 of East Stroudsburg, PA, with Shoplifting following an investigation into a theft that occurred at the Ulta Beaty Supply store on 1/15/23.

 

1/27/23 – Det. Nichols responded to a report of an overturned vehicle at the intersection of Belle Avenue and Oak Avenue. The driver, a 23-year-old Maywood resident, was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs.

 

1/29/23 – Det. Nichols and P.O. Singer responded to Ackerman Street after a resident reported seeing an unknown male enter his vehicle. A description of the suspect was provided by the caller. Hackensack PD located Robert Harris, 45 of Hackensack, on Maple Hill Drive in their city. Mr. Harris matched the suspect description and was taken into custody. Following an investigation, he was charged with multiple counts of Burglary to Auto and Theft. He was transported to the Bergen County Jail where he was lodged pending a court hearing.

 

2/3/23 – Headquarters received a 911 call reporting a shoplifting in progress at the Ulta Beauty Store in the Bergen Town Center. Patrol units responded and P.O. Luna located two suspects fleeing in the parking lot carrying bags containing stolen merchandise. A foot pursuit ensued and P.O. Luna apprehended one of the suspects on West Spring Valley Avenue. The suspect was identified as Robert R. Wilkins, 20 of Brooklyn, NY. Sgt. Parodi arrived on scene and located a getaway vehicle that was parked on a nearby side street. As he approached the vehicle, a third suspect entered the car and fled at a high rate of speed. A total of $12,000 in stolen fragrances were dropped by the suspects and recovered. Mr. Wilkins was charged with Shoplifting, Resisting Arrest and Conspiracy. He was lodged in the Bergen County Jail pending a court appearance. The Detective Bureau is conducting an investigation to attempt to identify the two remaining suspects.

 

2/5/23 – P.O. Rubio conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested Joseph T. Viviani, 59 of Lincoln Park, for Possession of Drug paraphernalia.

 

2/11/23 – P.O. Luna conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested Eric H. Pettersen, 25 of Lyndhurst, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs.

 

2/14/23 – P.O. Della Bella conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested Oscar B. Pedraza, 27 of North Haledon, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs.
