Maywood Police Scholarship: Apply Now!

We are now accepting applications for our annual MPOA Scholarship Awards. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who reside in Maywood. Applications can be downloaded at maywoodpd.org or picked up at your guidance office. The deadline to submit completed applications is Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

The Maywood Police Department is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of its program to achieve accreditation by verifying that it meets recognized professional best practices.

​

Administered by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police, the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with best practice standards in five basic areas: the administrative function, the personnel function, the operations function, the investigative function, and the arrestee/detainee function.

The Maywood Police Department is proud to announce and congratulate our two new Officers, P.O. Stephanie Laurent #56 & P.O. Alana Luna #57. We wish the both of them nothing but a safe and successful career!

There is no overnight parking on all borough streets from 3AM - 5AM per Ordinance 312-10. Violators will be ticketed. Residents requesting permission to park guest vehicles must submit requests online at the link below.
