THE MAYWOOD POLICE DEPARTMENT WELCOMES K-9 ZOEY TO THE TEAM

On May 10, 2016, the Maywood Police Department welcomed its newest officer, a 4-legged Bloodhound. 

 

K-9 “Zoey” is a 5-year-old black and tan female Bloodhound who will be working with her handler, Maywood P.O. Chris Nichols in order to track criminal and missing persons.  Zoey has been a trained and certified law enforcement K-9 for the past 5 years and worked alongside P.O. Nichols at another law enforcement agency prior to joining Maywood.  Zoey has a previous record of successful finds of missing persons and has aided in countless criminal investigations. 

 

Officer Nichols and K-9 Zoey are the very first Bloodhound K-9 team in the history of Bergen County Law Enforcement and the Maywood Police Department look forward to working with them.
