TWO ARRESTED FOR DISTRIBUTING DRUGS FROM APARTMENT
On April 6, 2017, the Maywood Police Department arrested Kyle Delarosa, 25, of Maywood and Matthew Zottarelli, 27, of Maywood on CDS distribution and money laundering charges.
The Maywood Police Department received numerous anonymous complaints from concerned citizens regarding narcotics activity occurring near the area of Maybrook Drive. In response to these tips, the Maywood Police Department’s Patrol and Detective Divisions conducted an investigation which led to a search warrant being executed at Zottarelli’s and Delarosa’s residence.
The search warrant yielded evidence consistent with CDS distribution which included: Xanax, Ecstasy, LSD, Marijuana, Amphetamine, Clonazepam, Diazepam, digital scales, plastic vials and vacuum sealers. Also seized was approximately $1733 of US currency suspected to be derived from criminal activity.
Delarosa was charged with two counts of Distribution of a CDS, Possession with Intent to Distribute Xanax, multiple counts of Possession of a CDS and Money Laundering. Delarosa was lodged in the Bergen County Jail pending his appearance in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court.
Zottarelli was charged with Distribution of Marijuana, multiple counts of Possession of a CDS and Money Laundering. Zottarelli was served with his criminal complaint and released pending his future CJP court date.
Also arrested as part of the investigation were Christopher Rogers, 30, of Elmwood Park for Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Marijuana as well as Grace Choi, 28, of Leonia for Possession of Marijuana.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
