MAYWOOD POLICE DEPARTMENT

On Wednesday July 1, 2015 at 12:30 pm, a robbery occurred at the Community Bank of Bergen County on West Pleasant Avenue. The suspect walked into the bank, handed the teller a bag, and demanded that she fill it up with money. The suspect then fled the bank running south on Spencer Joseph Way. Suspect is described as a black male (possibly hispanic), approximately 5' 8" - 5' 10" tall, wearing a black shirt, grey sweatpants and black skull cap. Surveillance footage from a nearby business recorded the suspect running through a parking lot off of Spencer Joseph Way. A white sedan, believed to be the suspect's getaway vehicle, was also captured on the surveillance footage.
