3.30.2016 - MOTOR VEHICLE STOP LEADS TO DRUG ARREST
On Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at approximately 1:00pm, Officer Greg Mulawka conducted a motor vehicle stop on Essex Street on a 2000, 2 door Mercury Cougar with no front license plate. Officer Mulawka observed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle being operated by Todd Malsch, 52, of Wayne (pictured at right). A probable cause search yielded 50 bags of heroin stamped “8888”, crack cocaine, a hypodermic syringe and drug paraphernalia. Malsch was charged with two counts of Possession of CDS, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. Malsch was released from Maywood Headquarters pending a future court date.
