10.3.2015 - MAYWOOD RESIDENT ARRESTED ON DRUG DISTRIBUTION CHARGES

On October 2, 2015, the Maywood Police Department arrested Thomas Delvecchio, 23 of Maywood, for Distribution of CDS (Oxycodone), Distribution of CDS within 500 feet of a Public Housing Complex and Possession of Oxycodone.

 

The Maywood Police Department received numerous complaints from concerned citizens regarding narcotics activity occurring at Delvecchio’s residence in Maywood.

In response to these complaints, Maywood Detectives and Officers conducted surveillance at Delvecchio’s residence. Jean Marin, 23, of Westwood was arrested for Possession of CDS after purchasing Oxycodone from Delvecchio.

 

The Maywood Police Department obtained a search warrant for Delvecchio’s residence and two vehicles parked in Delvecchio’s driveway. With the assistance of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit and members of the Hackensack Police Department, a search warrant was executed at Delvecchio’s residence. While conducting the search warrant, Delvecchio refused to follow officers’ orders and resisted being handcuffed. The search warrant yielded evidence consistent with CDS distribution. Delvecchio was charged with multilple CDS related offenses and resisting arrest. 

 

Maywood Municipal Court Judge Savino set bail for Delvecchio at $35,000 with no 10% option. Delvecchio was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of $35,000 bail.

 

UPDATE: On October 5, 2015, the Maywood Police Department along with members of the Hackensack Police Department executed a second search warrant at Thomas Delvecchio’s residence in Maywood.

Delvecchio, 23, of Maywood was arrested by the Maywood Police Department on October 2, 2015 for Distribution of CDS (Oxycodone), Distribution of CDS within 500 feet of a Public Housing Complex, Possession of Oxycodone and Resisting Arrest after Maywood Detectives observed him distributing Oxycodone from his residence.

Follow up investigation by the Maywood Police Department led to execution of the second search warrant yesterday which yielded 111 tablets of Oxycodone and $8,000 of US Currency. The 111- 30 mg. tablets of Oxycodone have an approximately street value of $3,330.

This investigation by the Maywood Police Department was triggered by numerous complaints from concerned citizens regarding narcotics activity occurring at Delvecchio’s residence in Maywood. Hackensack Police Detectives Duardo, Inglima and Guttierez assisted the Maywood Police Department in the investigation.

Delvecchio was charged with additional CDS related offenses and Possession of Property Derived from Criminal Activity. Delvecchio is lodged in the Bergen County Jail in lieu of $80,000 bail.
