2003 TRADING CARDS ARE HERE!

Now, Maywood children, 14 years of age and under, are invited to collect the 2nd Collection of the Maywood Police Trading Cards.

The program is aimed at gaining a rapport with the youth of our Community and our Police Officers. The idea of the program is to have children approach the officers and ask for their card. It is a way for the children to become more familiar with our police officers by putting a name to a face. We're hoping it gives the children a message: police officers can be good role models as well as somebody they can count on and trust.

How do you get the cards? Here's how it works. Just stop and talk to a police officer, introduce yourself and ask for his card. After you collect all 30 cards, visit D/Natale at Police Headquarters. If you are one of the first 20 children to collect the entire set, you will be eligible to receive prizes.

Important!

Remember not to talk with police officers while they are writing tickets, appear to be conducting an investigation or when they have their emergency lights activated on their patrol cars.

Have Fun, and Good Luck!
